After a very hot trip to Nicosia I am now not going further than Pissouri Village (for food shopping and the occasional meal out) – and am sticking to reading, swimming and lazing about. That’s enough of an effort in the heat: after all, what better way to exercise brain and body?
Tea Obreht’s winner ‘The Tiger’s Wife’ is all it is claimed to be: well written, clever, fascinating stories and an excellent read. It’s a very unusual book and deserved winning the Orange Prize for Fiction in my view.
I have just had to check the date and reminded myself that the Literary Give Away date is coming up fast. Easy to forget when one day just runs into the next. Definitely coming up now:
It’s Saturday! The Literary Giveaway Blog Hop! I’ll send you an email about it today, with a link so you can link up to my post.
I’ve heard varying opinions about The Tiger’s Wife. Glad you enjoyed it! Hope you have enough books left to read, but with an e-reader it’s hard to run out.

Enjoy your holiday, it sounds lovely. I’m glad to hear that The Tiger’s Wife has lived up to your expectations. It is on my list and I will get around to reading it at some point.

I’m looking forward to reading The Tiger’s Wife, but it’s my Mum’s copy so she should read it first really!
